USDA Inspection Data

Below are two USDA inspection data summaries: Data Summary and Noncompliance Summary. These reports are updated approximately every two weeks.

Definitions:

A Class A license is issued to dealers who sell animals that are bred and raised at their facility in a closed or stable colony. A Class B license is issued to other dealers whose business includes the purchase and/or resale of warm-blooded animals. Read more about these definitions here.

A “violation” is leveled when some aspect of the Animal Welfare Act (AWA) has been breached. Read more about the AWA here.

A “direct” violation is a breach of the AWA that poses an immediate threat to the health and/or well-being of the animal(s) involved.
